Selfish in a time of a need for special considerations. Perhaps ignorant of special needs.

Location

This facility was totally inconsiderate of visitors who may be travelling during a severe world health issue at their door step. My circumstances were that I was in an extremely high risk group, if infected, recovery was considered as difficult to non exsistent. To not consider the individual needs of your clients is poor business. I will not stay in this accommodation in the future and furthermore I will endeavour to relay my experience to other travellers if asked.

The location was excellent - very close to Iriya train station and convenience stores. The room was very large by Tokyo standards - it had a kitchen / dinning area and seperate bedroom and bathroom.

It did not have a lift and our room was on the 4th floor so we had to carry our cases.

Location is closed to metro station.

The facility was rated 3 stars in booking.com but the facility does't meet the 3 stars. We arrived at the apartment late at 10 pm. The apartment doesn’t have the name in English. We did not receive a password to get the key and did not know whether we would have a place to stay that night. A passing- by local Japanese helped us find the name of the apartment which is written in Japanese and offered us to look for another hotel using his mobile phone. Once we were able to reach an apartment contact person via email, we were asked to send my passport photo to an unknown person by email in order to get the password for the key of the apartment. While we were oversea, we had difficulty communicating with an unknown location of the contact person. This apartment doesn’t meet the 3-star rating which is misled and was deceptive to us. The apartment doesn’t have a clearly designated reception area. Moreover, there is no elevator. We had to carry 3 big luggages to the 3rd floor. If the star has been rated correctly, we would not consider this apartment with the price that we paid. The apartment had bad smell and the shower room is cramped. The booking.com should review posted star rating on the website in accordance with the standardized star rating system.

The room is clean and neat. It locates near a metro station, so it's very convenient to get to other places. The environment near the room is also quite silent at night, and the beds are comfortable, so you can sleep well while staying.

There isn't an elevator.

Okay Find for a Small Family

We liked the price and the proximity to things like the subway and Ueno Park. We also liked that it was one of the only places in our price range where there were two beds, since our almost two year old daughter is getting to big to share a bed with us. Also the fridge was critical, and the shower was very good.

We struggled to communicate with the staff regarding check in. We did not receive the self check in information until two hours prior to arrival when we were in transit and without wifi or phones. The bathroom was a bit cramped and there were quite a few things setting out on surfaces and the plugs and wires for everything was out and prime targets for our toddler.
